Per-AP* Science - Allison Kittay
Allison Kittay earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from U. C. Berkeley. After 3 years working in a plant pathology laboratory, she returned to U.C. Berkeley to get a teaching credential in science. Over the last twenty-three years, she has taught many different science courses from grades 6 through 12 in a variety of settings. She was an Access Excellence Fellow, Ed Fund Teacher of the Year, TeachEach Finalist, and ASMCB teacher-researcher at UC Berkeley. She taught AP Biology for 12 years at El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, California. She has also taught AP Biology during the summer for U.C. Berkeley’s Academic Talent Development Program. She has been a reader for the AP Biology Examination for the past twelve years, and conducts both one-day AP Biology workshops and AP Summer Institutes as a consultant for the College Board. Allison is currently teaching at Redwood High School in Larkspur, California. This will be Allison’s fourth summer with the Silver State APSI.
