Biographies

Chemistry - Dale Jensen

Dale Jensen has taught Chemistry and Physics for North Medford High School for the last 33 years. Coming out of University of Oregon with a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Biology, Dale soon started teaching the Talented and Gifted students. For the past seveenteen years, Dale has enjoyed teaching First Year Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Physics. For the past twelve years Dale has been an AP Chemistry Reader/Table Leader and has worked as a consultant for the College Board conducting weekend and week-long workshops. Dale has been asked to come back as a Table Leader for the 2010 exam. In 2007, Dale was appointed to the SAT Test Development Committee for the Chemistry specific test.

Outside interests include Tennis and computers. As a tennis coach at North Medford, Dale received his USPTA card, was Coach-of-the-Year three times, and was twice named the Western Regional Coach-of-the-Year for Women’s Tennis. Dale has also published software as a fellow with the Journal of Chemical Education and is currently writing coaching software that is still under development.
