Biology - New: Allison Kittay
Allison Kittay earned both her undergraduate degree in Biology and her teaching credential in Science from U. C. Berkeley. She has been teaching science for nearly three decades. She has taught many different science courses from grades 6 through 12 in a variety of settings. She taught AP Biology for many years at El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, California, and during the summers for U.C. Berkeley’s Academic Talent Development Program. She has been involved with the scoring of the AP BiologyExamination for the past twenty years, as a reader and table leader, and conducts one-day AP Biology, and Day with an AP Biology Reader workshops for the College Board, as well as presenting weeklong workshops for AP Summer Institutes in several states. Allison has received several awards for her teaching, and was a member of the first Access Excellence Program. Allison has mentored student teachers and has participated in many professional development programs, which have allowed Allison to stay current with her content knowledge and teaching practice. Allison is currently teaching AP Biology and Integrated Science at Redwood High School in Larkspur, California.
