Lori Hamada has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s in Education with dual emphases in Curriculum & Instruction and Mathematics. Lori has taught for 14 years in middle school, high school and community college. She is active in the San Joaquin Valley Math Project and is a National Lead Consultant with the College Board.
As the Fresno County Office of Education’s Mathematics Coordinator, Lori’s goal is to provide the professional development opportunities teachers desire to reach more students. She facilitates the statewide Lead responsibilities for the SB472 Harcourt Math Institutes and organizes professional development for teachers throughout the 34 districts in Fresno County. She mentors six different Mathematics Vertical Teams in the Central San Joaquin Valley. Three of these are single district teams, while the other three each have multiple districts - up to seven. The longest running of the teams she works with is in its 6 th year – with five districts in three counties!
Lori is a National Lead Consultant for the College Board, mentoring new consultants and assisting in their College Board Endorsement process. She is an endorsed consultant for all Pre-AP Mathematics workshops.
